Welcome to The Orchard Cottage
Our modern, spacious cottage is set in a secluded valley on the Coromandel Peninsula – ideally situated half way between Tairua and Whitianga surrounded by a citrus orchard with views of the Coromandel Ranges.
Enjoy some relaxing time to yourself or venture out and see some of the wonderful sights the Coromandel has to offer including the famous Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach.

Where You’ll Be Staying
Relax in your own private villa…
Our country cottage is completely self-contained and self-catering. It is separated from the main house by a sheltered court yard. The living space opens out onto a wide deck with views of the Coromandel Ranges. The kitchen is well equipped with all essential cooking items.
There are two bedrooms has a king sized bed and a super king bed in the main room with ensuite. The accommodation is ideal for a couple or small family. Milk and fruit is provided. Guest have access to the court yard BBQ and open fireplace.
Rates:
- $250 per night from 1 Nov – 31 March
(for up to 2 people, additional guests $20 per person per night) - $180 per night – 31 March -1 Nov
( for up to 2 people, additional guests $20 per person per night) - Minimum 2 nights
- The Orchard Cottage accommodates up to 4 people, ideal for 2 couples or a family of 4
- Private master bedroom with king size bed
- 2 bedrooms each with King size beds, one with ensuite
- Main bathroom with toilet, shower and vanity

- Organic local market at the Gumtown Hall (Sun from Nov through March)
- Beautiful beaches for surfing, kayaking, diving or walking
- Bush walking in the surrounding hills
- Whitianga for shopping and cafes
- Local Art and Crafts and gardens

The Orchard is situated between Tairua and Whitianga, on the Eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsula. Heading south from Auckland, follow State Highway 1, then State Highway 2 and turn off onto State Highway 25. From the Orchard it is a short 20 minute drive to local beaches and Whitianga/Tairua. The renowned Coroglen Tavern is a 5 minute drive away.
